Agartala, 28 th September 2025: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted intermittent rainfall and thundershowers across Tripura during this year’s Durga Puja festivities. A special weather bulletin issued by the Meteorological Centre in Agartala has placed the state under a yellow alert from September 28 to October 2, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall.

According to the bulletin, heavy showers are expected in Dhalai district on September 27, accompanied by thundershowers and lightning across several parts of the state. On September 28, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning is likely in many areas.
