A dense fog advisory covers much of central Pennsylvania Sunday morning, with visibility significantly reduced in many areas before clearing to a warm, sunny day with temperatures reaching the upper 70s to mid-80s.
The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory until 9 a.m. for multiple counties, with widespread fog formations reducing visibility to a quarter mile or less in some locations.
Meteorologists expect the fog to burn off by mid-morning, giving way to mostly sunny skies and unseasonably warm temperatures that are 10 to 20 degrees above the historical average for late September.
