Rylan Clark apologised to his BBC Radio 2 co-star after admitting he let out “the real me”. Rylan, 36, has presented the Saturday afternoon slot on the radio station since 2019.

He took over the show when Zoe Ball decided to take over the prestigious breakfast slot. Zoe however stepped away from the show last year, with former Radio 1 presenter Scott Mills taking charge.

The former X Factor contestant has previously hinted that his camp persona is “an act”, describing the differences between his home persona Ross - his real name - and Rylan as “a Jekyll and Hyde thing”. Speaking to the Mail on Sunday’s You magazine previously, he revealed he is “masculine” away from the screen.
