Three workers were injured after a fire broke out at a sodium chloride packaging company in Ambadvet in Mulshi taluka of Pune district on Sunday afternoon.
The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained, officials said, adding that two of the injured suffered 60 per cent burns.
Senior police inspector Santosh Girigosavi of the Paud Police Station, Pune rural, said that fire was reported at the Swaraj Enterprises in Ambadvet around 12.15 pm when packaging of sodium chloride was being done.
Police and Fire Brigade teams rushed to the spot after receiving information about the fire.
Police have identified the injured persons as Sandip Lakshman Shendkar (49), Mohit Raj Choudhary (49) and Renuka Dhanraj Gaikwad (40).
Police said three were working at the company when the fire started. T
