DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) - A woman is facing charges after the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office said she brought a firearm onto school property.
The incident happened after school hours on Sept. 25, when deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at Fort Dorchester High School. Students had already left for the day.
The next day, detectives were conducting a follow-up investigation and confirmed that the suspect, 41-year-old Tammie Moody Carter, of Ladson, arrived at the school with a firearm.
“The victim was able to disarm the suspect, after which the suspect attempted to strike the victim with her vehicle,” the sheriff’s office said.
Carter was arrested on Friday, was and charged with domestic violence high and aggravated nature, possession of a weapon during the commission
