New Delhi: Russia launched a series of deadly drone and missile attacks on Ukraine on Saturday night, September 27, killing four people and injuring at least 67. According to officials, the heaviest damage occurred in the capital, Kyiv, where this was the first major bombing attack since an airstrike killed 21 people last month.

Kyiv City Administration Chief Timur Tkachenko confirmed the casualties on social media on Sunday, 28 September 2025, saying that 10 other people were injured in the attacks targeting various civilian areas of the city. A 12-year-old girl was among the dead. Explosions in the city centre sent up thick, black smoke, a horrific sight.
