The Cardinals will conclude their season Sunday with something they've rarely done this season: a bullpen game, just the third game all season started by a pitcher who's not a regular rotation member.
Right-hander Kyle Leahy (4-2, 3.18 ERA) will start as the Cardinals and Cubs end the regular season starting at 2:20 p.m. Sunday at Wrigley Field.
Leahy will be just the eighth different pitcher to start a game for the Cardinals this season. He's just the second member of the bullpen to start. Steven Matz opened a couple earlier in the season, the only other irregular starter.
