The Red Roses celebrated their convincing Rugby World Cup win in front of hordes of adoring fans in London.

England Women’s ran out 33-13 winners against Canada on Saturday. Although it marked the Red Roses third title, it was the first in 11 years for John Mitchell’s squad.

Following the victory, the Red Roses made the short journey to Battersea Power Station to celebrate with the title with the fans.

Despite the grey skies and pouring rain, nothing could dampen jubilant scenes as stars such as Ellie Kildunne, Marlie Packer and captain Zoe Aldcroft met fans at the iconic London landmark.

“We spoke about redefining the women’s game,” Aldcroft said. “It’s not about winning the final, it’s inspiring people to pick up a rugby ball and join their local clubs. That’s been massive for us.”
