A strong start, a disastrous finish.

It was the same old, same old for Pakistan’s batting order, which once again put up a horror show with the bat, crumbling against the likes of India’s wily spinners to slump to a meagre 146 by the end of their innings.

After a strong start from openers Sahibzada Farhan (57 off 38) and Fakhar Zaman (46 off 35), who put them at a comfortable 87/0 in 9.3 overs, before Farhan was dismissed by Varun Chakaravarthy.

But the rest of the batters couldn’t really make the most of the solid start from their openers. At one point, crossing 200 looked pretty straightforward, but things went downhill quickly as they lost 9 wickets for just 33 runs in the end and didn’t even manage to play out the full overs.
