TAMPA, Fla (WFLA) — The Tampa Bay Lightning had 36 new players and 4 goalies in town for the weekend, as part of their annual fantasy camp for charity. The team hosts hockey enthusiasts for a 3-day event each year, where people can live out their dream of being an NHL player.

"Guys are so excited, they get to live the life of an NHL player for a couple of days, it's so fun," said Mathieu Garon, a former Lightning player.

The camp comes with coaching and drills from Lightning alumni (a rotating cast each year), as well as personalized jerseys, a tour of team facilities, a watch party for the team's preseason games, and more. Participants get to sign a contract with the general manager of the team, and also attend social events post-skate with team legends.
