Scottie Scheffler's caddie has apologized after tensions boiled over on Day 2 of the Ryder Cup.

Much had been made about the raucous crowd at Bethpage Black , but as Saturday's four-balls unfolded, it was the players and their loopers involved in an unpleasant flashpoint.

Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood secured a 3&2 win over Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau in the second match of the afternoon, but their impressive performance was overshadowed by an argument on the 15th green .

As he lined up a crucial putt, Team Europe star Rose was seen asking DeChambeau's caddie, Gregory Bodine, to move away.
