**Shooting at Grand Blanc Church Leaves One Dead, Nine Injured** GRAND BLANC, Mich. — A shooting at a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Sunday morning resulted in one death and nine injuries. The incident occurred around 10:25 a.m. at the church located on McCandlish Road. According to police, the suspect, a 40-year-old man from Burton, Michigan, drove his vehicle through the church's front doors. He exited the vehicle and opened fire with an assault rifle on the congregation, which included hundreds of worshippers. Grand Blanc Township Police Chief William Renye reported that ten individuals were transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds. One of those victims has since died, and several others are in critical condition. The suspect was killed during a shootout with responding officers from Grand Blanc Township and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Authorities believe the shooter acted alone. In addition to the gunfire, the suspect is suspected of intentionally starting a fire within the church. The cause of the fire and its exact origin remain under investigation. Fire crews have since contained the blaze. "This is a dynamic scene," said Genesee County Sheriff Christopher Swanson. "There are a lot of things happening that we are not able to communicate just because of the work that needs to be done." He confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
