Kollur: Kollur police have successfully solved the gold chain theft case reported at the famous Kollur Mookambika Temple within 24 hours, arresting a woman and recovering the stolen ornament.

The arrested woman has been identified as Yadhava Durgamma from Ganesh Nagar in Ranga Reddy district of Telangana. Police recovered a diamond-studded gold chain weighing three sovereigns, worth around Rs 2.5 lakh, from her possession.

On the night of September 26, around 9 pm, the gold chain was stolen from the bag of a woman named Devipriya while she was at the temple premises. Following a complaint, Kollur Police Station registered a case and launched an investigation.
