LOGAN – “Bagrock” is coming to Logan on Monday, Sept. 29.
That’s when a nine-piece rock ensemble calling themselves the Red Hot Chili Pipers will perform at the Ellen Eccles Theatre, with bagpipes dominating the stage.
Please note the difference: it’s “pipers,” not “peppers.” But if you think that bagpipes, guitars and drums played to Scottish rhythms can’t combine to create rock music, guess again.
The Red Hot Chilli Pipers are a Celtic rock band formed in Scotland in 2002, known globally for their fusion of traditional piping with rock and pop music.
After winning the talent show "When Will I Be Famous?" in the United Kingdom in 2007, the Pipers were launched to fame, leading to sold-out concerts worldwide and six studio albums to date.
The key to their success is a unique blend
