(CNN) - Hundreds of current and former Veterans Affairs doctors, nurses and other caregivers have issued a warning to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
In the mass letter sent Wednesday to VA Secretary Doug Collins, the group warns of the negative impacts of the agency’s recent staffing cuts and moves to outsource care to private sector doctors and healthcare facilities, saying it will harm veterans.
They said it will undermine the VA’s healthcare system and overwhelm the budget.
More than 350 doctors, psychologists, nurses and researchers have now signed the letter.
The letter does not mention President Donald Trump by name, but it references recent staff cuts and other policies undertaken by the VA since Trump took office in his second term.
