RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. (KABC) -- People living in the Portuguese Bend area of Rancho Palos Verdes are dealing with some new land movement as the area continues to be affected by an ongoing landslide.
At least three homes near Marguerite Drive have been impacted by the shift, which was reported Saturday evening.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department said a 300-foot section of land slipped over the bluff and fell about 100 feet into the yards of several homes.
No injuries were reported, and no evacuation orders or warnings were issued.
The landslides in Rancho Palos Verdes have been going on for decades but significantly accelerated in 2023 after two straight seasons of heavy rain.
