COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri football added a recruiting win to its 5-0 start to the season, flipping a commitment from another Southeastern Conference program to its growing 2026 class.

Micah Nickerson, a defensive end who'd been committed to Mississippi State, changed his verbal pledge to the Tigers on Sunday. Nickerson visited MU last weekend.

He's a three-star prospect, per 247Sports, out of Magnolia, Mississippi. Nickerson is listed at 6-foot-5, 215 pounds.

His recruitment still seems like it'll extend until signing day in December: Just a couple of hours after flipping his commitment to Mizzou, Nickerson announced he'd received a scholarship offer from Auburn.
