WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. — For the more than one million Americans currently serving in the Armed Forces, the call to action takes a great sacrifice.

It is that sacrifice loved ones and community members wanted to celebrate at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks Saturday morning.

Sixty-three veterans, representing multiple generations of service, made the trek from Connecticut to Washington, D.C. as part of the Fall 2025 Honor Flight aboard Breeze Airways.

Cheers echoed across the terminal at the airport, as the veterans were escorted by a motorcade and first responders. The participating veterans represented five branches of the Armed Forces.

Clarence Papanic served way back in 1948 and was thrilled to be making the trip.
