Cam Ward understands the spectrum of good football. After all, his college career included stops at Incarnate Word, Washington State and Miami before he was selected with the first overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Ward has seen competent-to-great football throughout his 23 years on the earth. So he knows when a team is clicking and when it's a big sloppy mess. And, because Cam Ward is a poet, he knows exactly how to despite the state of his 0-4 Tennessee Titans.

That's why, moments after a 26-0 loss to the previously winless Houston Texans, Ward was entirely honest in his review of an offense that scored 20 points in Week 1 and fewer points each week before bottoming out with Sunday's shutout.

"Everything, from interception to penalty to an incompletion by me on a bad ball and then once we're past the 50 [yard line] we're just not continuing to do the job," Ward told the media in his postgame press conference. "So, we keeping it a buck right now? We ass."

Through four games, Ward's -56 expected points added (EPA) is second-worst among NFL quarterbacks to only Joe Flacco. So, yeah, pretty fair assessment.
