Madonna has opened up about her spiritual life in her first podcast interview. The Queen of Pop is set to make her podcast debut on Monday with a new episode of On Purpose with Jay Shetty, People magazine reports. During the conversation, the superstar and host Shetty have a rambling conversation about Madonna's decades-long spiritual journey, which began shortly before the birth of her first child, Lourdes Leon. "You need to be spiritual to be successful," Madonna shares. "Success is having a spiritual life, period. I wouldn't be here if I didn't have one." The seven-time Grammy winner is well known for using her stardom to advocate for human rights - something she says has been a guiding light. "What have I done for others? That's really the only way you can be successful in life," she tells Shetty. "It's like the greatest amount of light is where there's darkness and you can reveal the most amount of light. "My soul's purpose is to reveal light in the world through whatever I do," she continues, later adding, "I want it all, but I want it for the sake of sharing, not to keep it for myself." Elsewhere in the episode, the Ray of Light singer acknowledges that she was once "a slave or victim of other people's opinions of me". But over the years, she's accepted that "I don't fit in, and not fitting in is what saves you".
