FARGO — Rose Solberg was asked if she considers herself to be among the greatest high school girls golfers to ever come from the state of North Dakota.

In her typical humble fashion, the Fargo Davies senior immediately deferred to everyone else within that group.

“I consider it an honor to be up there in the conversation, especially when you look at all of the people in the past,” Solberg said.

She rattled off names like Jenny Marsh, who won two Class A individual state championships for Davies in 2014 and 2015 and also led the Eagles to a team title.

Or Hannah and Leah Herbel, the Bismarck Century twins who helped the Patriots to three team championships in 2018, 2019 and 2022 with Hannah also winning three straight individual crowns from 2018-20.
