EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- The El Paso Police Department and Crime Stoppers of El Paso are asking for your help in identifying a man who threatened a woman with a gun earlier this month in East El Paso.

This is this week's Crime of the Week as publicized by Crime Stoppers.

At 3 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, a woman outside a Lone Star Laundry, located at 10968 Montwood, was approached by a man.

The man shined a flashlight at her face and told the woman to leave. He then pulled out a handgun and threatened the woman, according to Crime Stoppers.

A witness reported seeing a couple fight and hearing gunshots, Crime Stoppers said. Responding officers found the victim, who was not hurt in the incident.
