CLEVELAND — The playoff bracket is set.
The Guardians not only secured their spot in the postseason , but they came back from a 15.5-game deficit, the largest in baseball history, to repeat as American League Central division champs .
In doing so, they earned the No. 3 seed and homefield advantage in the Wild Card Series , where they once again await the division rival Detroit Tigers as the No. 6 seed. Every game of the best-of-3 series will be held in Cleveland.
When is Guardians-Tigers Game 1?
Major League Baseball has announced that Game 1 of the Guardians-Tigers Wild Card Series will have a first pitch time of 1:08 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30. The game will be aired on ESPN.
Game 2, on Wednesday, Oct. 1, will also have a first pitch time of 1:08 p.m. and be aired on ESPN.
