ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Gainesville Police are investigating after a toddler was tragically killed in Gainesville on Sunday.

Crews responded to the 200 block of Oakland Drive around 11 a.m. for an 18-month-old that had been killed after it was run over by a vehicle. According to police, family were at the home and one of them ran over the child as they went to move a vehicle.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with all involved in this devastating loss,” the Gainesville Police Department said.
