LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — Enough fentanyl to deliver a lethal dose to more than a third of Jefferson County's entire population was seized along with other illegal drugs and two guns on Friday, according to officers with the Louisville Metro Police Department.
Department officials took to social media on Sunday, announcing that around 6 p.m. on Sept. 26, detectives with the 2nd Division Impact Unit carried out a search warrant at the 5000 block of Yew Lane.
"This operation removed a massive amount of poison from our community and significantly disrupted a dangerous drug network, improving the safety and quality of life for residents in the area," LMPD officials wrote.
