DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — An active Davidson County EMS EMT and a sworn Brookford police officer were arrested Friday for allegedly accessing government computer systems to alert a suspect in a child sexual abuse investigation, the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office said.

Benjamin Geoffrey Myers, 38, and Jennifer Aree Myers, 44, are accused of using the information to tip off the primary suspect in the sexual abuse of a juvenile at a residence in Denton and other surrounding locations.

A woman was also arrested and was accused of facilitating the abuse.

Benjamin Myers is being held on a $1,500 secured bond and Jennifer Myers on a $5,000 secured bond. Their court appearances are scheduled for Dec. 1 and Dec. 2, respectively. A magistrate prohibited all three individuals from contacting eac
