PHOENIX (AZFamily) — After sitting in the 80s for most of the afternoon, it will be pleasant this evening with lows dropping into the low 70s.

There is a slight chance of showers in some higher terrain outside the Valley.

We will “keep our cool” on Monday with highs around 94. This is two degrees below the normal high temperature of 96 degrees. The low pressure that has been hanging out near us will fade, and a ridge will start to build during the middle of the week. This will bring highs in the mid to upper 90s from Tuesday through the end of the week.

Can we hang on to the 90s all week? It will be a close call because Friday’s forecast is 99 degrees.

A slight dip in the jet stream may approach next weekend, accompanied by slightly cooler temperatures and breezy conditions.
