TROPICAL STORM IMELDA:

Tropical Depression Nine has strengthened to Tropical Storm Imelda in the Bahamas Sunday afternoon. It's moving N at 9 mph with winds at 40 mph. Advertisement

Tropical storm warnings continue for the central and northwestern Bahamas as the storm is expected to continue to strengthen and bring tropical storm conditions. Tropical storm conditions are also possible along Florida's east coast Monday, where a watch is in effect.

Imelda will then turn east-northeast starting Tuesday away from the U.S. east coast and near Bermuda on Thursday.

IMPACTS :

Tropical storm conditions are occuring in the central and northwestern Bahamas and should continue through Monday morning.

Imelda is expected to produce additional rainfall of 2 to 4 inches across eastern Cuba and
