FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — An off-duty Gwinnett County sheriff's deputy was discovered dead Saturday night after her son showed up at a neighbor's house, bleeding, telling them his mom and her boyfriend had gotten into an argument and the boyfriend began firing a gun.

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, the teen showed up to his neighbor's home a little before 8 p.m. The subsequent 911 call from the neighbor led officers to discovering a woman killed at the Villages at Shakerag subdivision.

The victim nor her son have been identified, but the Forsyth sheriff's release said the female victim was "later identified as an off-duty Gwinnett County Sheriff's Deputy."

The teen boy was given aid by his neighbor, the release said.
