The death of a woman whose body was found in the Hobart Rivulet is not being treated as suspicious, following initial investigations, police say.

The 33-year-old's body was found submerged in the rivulet on Friday, alongside a swag and other personal belongings.

Police initially said they were keeping an "open mind" on the circumstances, but have now confirmed they do not suspect foul play.

"As a result of investigations conducted so far, police are no longer treating the death as suspicious," Detective Inspector David Gill said.

"Police investigations continued over the weekend and included a review of CCTV in the area, obtaining statements from witnesses, interviews, and forensic examinations, including an autopsy."
