In a tragic incident on Sunday afternoon, two young men drowned after their boat capsized in Hesaraghatta Lake , located under the jurisdiction of Soladevanahalli Police Station .

The deceased have been identified as Ananth (27), a mobile tower technician from Hesaraghatta village and Anand (35), an iron binding worker from the same village.

The incident occurred around 12 noon on Sunday. Due to the weekend holiday, several amateur fishermen had gathered at the vast Hesaraghatta Lake, fishing from small boats near the edges of the water body.

Ananth and Anand too had ventured into the lake to fish and spend leisure time. They paddled into the middle of the lake in a small boat. Unfortunately, the boat capsized for unknown reasons. In an attempt to save one another, both men drowne
