SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO) - Two people were arrested during a warrant executed by Springfield Township Police on Friday.

According to a release from Springfield Township Police, Misty Smead, 57, and William Boyd, 61, were arrested and face the following charges:

Trafficking in methamphetamine

Possession of Methamphetamine

Trafficking in marijuana

Illegal cultivation of marijuana

Drug paraphernalia

The arrests come after a search warrant was served on the 2500 block of Massillon Road after an "ongoing investigation into the distribution of narcotics."

"The Springfield Township Police Department remains committed to proactive investigations to keep our community safe," Springfield Township Police said in a release.
