BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Railroad Park turned 15 this weekend, and Birmingham residents came together to celebrate the milestone with food, friends and live entertainment.
Since it opened in 2010, the 19-acre green space in the heart of downtown has become a hub for community connection and city growth.
“Everybody really came together to make this happen, because the idea was a park is a place for everyone to come together,” said Camille Spratling, executive director of the Railroad Park Foundation. “We are so honored that 15 years later we are still bringing the community together, and we want to keep doing that for 15 more years and more and more.”
