NASHVILLE, Tennessee — Health problems continue to plague legendary country music star Dolly Parton, who announced Sunday she is postponing her residency in Las Vegas.

“As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures,” Parton, 79, says in a post on social media . “As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000 mile checkup, although it’s not the usual trip to see the plastic surgeon!”

Parton says she decided to postpone her Las Vegas concerts in December because she would not be able to rehearse and “put together the show I want you to see and the show you deserve to see.”
