An adventurous six-year-old boy "bursting with energy and kindness, with a cheeky smile and thick ginger hair" has been remembered as part of Organ Donation Week at Leeds Children's Hospital.
Just before Christmas 2001, Dilan was involved in a crash and suffered a serious head injury . A week after the crash, the six-year-old, who lived with his mum Maggie, dad Simon, his two sisters Kelsea and Billie-Sue and two brothers John and Elliott, passed away on New Year's Eve.
When Dilan's parents realised that their son's injuries were non-survivable, they wanted him to become an organ donor. They believed that it was something he would have wanted due to a previous conversation they had with him before the crash.
