Leeds United always knew that set-pieces would be important this season, and so it has proved thus far. Three of the six Premier League goals scored have come from a dead ball.

Lukas Nmecha (penalty), Anton Stach (free-kick) and Joe Rodon (corner) have all helped to fulfil Daniel Farke’s mission to maximise set-pieces. The fact the three goals have come in the three different forms is encouraging.

What needs more work is defending these dead balls. In the main, Rodon and Pascal Struijk have been sturdy in the centre of defence with frequent headers away and clearances from inside the box. But there is a clear weak point that Leeds must address.
