After a long-awaited first win of the season, Giants head coach Brian Daboll leapt into the arms of the rookie quarterback he’s counting on to save his job.

“That’s f—-ing why!” Daboll screamed.

In his first NFL start in Sunday’s 21-18 win over the Chargers , Jaxson Dart showed why the Giants traded back into the first round of April’s draft to select him as their quarterback solution at the No. 25 overall pick. After the Giants benched former starting quarterback Russell Wilson in favor of Dart, he went 13-of-20 for 111 yards and one touchdown. He added another 54 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground.
