CHICKASHA, Okla. (KFOR) — The Salvation Army locations in Grady and Caddo Counties are in desperate need of donations to continue serving families in need.
Lt. Bobby McFarland, who oversees both locations with his wife, Crystal, says he can't remember a time when the food pantry was fully stocked.
"We put what we can on there, be it through donations or ordering food in as quickly as we get it on the shelf. It comes off just as quickly," said McFarland.
The Salvation Army in Anadarko is facing the same issue. McFarland says, luckily, the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma (RFBO) is making accommodations.
"RFBO has extended an emergency order window for us specifically to put an emergency order and get goods within the next week, but that's still at a cost," said McFarland.
