Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, on Saturday drew the attention of the Cabinet Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training (DOPT), while accusing a senior IAS officer of creating false narratives against Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) almost similar in lines to the canards by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee who frequently accused DVC of aggravating flood situation in the state by releasing water from the dams without giving prior information to the state government.

Adhikari had a made a social media post on Saturday, wherein he attached a video in which the district magistrate of Hooghly, Mukta Arya, makes similar allegations against DVC while attending a community Durga Puja pandal in the same district.
