A school that makes pupils “feel valued” has improved its Ofsted rating from ‘requires improvement’ to ‘good’. The Cambian Dunbroch School in Fordham Road, Newmarket underwent a two-day inspection by Ofsted between July 8 and July 10 of this year.

It has been rated ‘good’ in all areas, which are: quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management and sixth form provision. The school was previously rated ‘requires improvement’.

All pupils who attend the school have special education needs (SEND) or a disability. Inspectors said the staff help pupils feel “really valued” and help to start to build up their self-esteem.
