CLANTON, Ala. (WAKA) — Good food and family fun drew crowds to the Chilton County Airport on Saturday for the Central Alabama BBQ Festival.

The event featured dozens of restaurants serving up barbecue for attendees to sample. A People’s Choice Award was presented for the best barbecue.

Beyond food, festivalgoers enjoyed a variety of attractions, including pine derby race cars, vintage automobiles, trucks, and motorcycles. Airplane fly-ins gave visitors a chance to watch aircraft arrive throughout the day.

For children, the festival offered face painting and inflatable bouncy houses. Live music kept the crowd entertained as families enjoyed the daylong event.
