WHITE DEER, Texas (KFDA) - The White Deer Bucks’ football team was another squad looking to bounce back in week five, and they did just that by taking down Silverton at home, 58-12.

It’s just Ruben Guerrero’s first year back at the helm of this Bucks’ program. but he’s already turned the team around in just a few months.

The win Friday over Silverton was the program’s fourth win this season, already surpassing the win total of last season which was three.

Before the season began, Guerrero wanted to prove to his athletes that he was here to win, and he believes the kids have fully bought in.

“I don’t know if I’m the one that made the difference or not,” he said. “I came in, I told them my expectations, what I wanted them to do, how I saw this team going forward, and they’ve bought in. T
