LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The 35 acres surrounding the new home of the Athletics baseball team - expected to open in 2028 at the site of the former Tropicana Hotel and Casino - will feature two luxury hotel towers totaling 3,000 rooms, a 2,500-seat theater and half a million square feet of retail, dining, and entertainment, the 8 News Now Investigators have learned.

Monday, Bally's is set to release renderings and information about the new campus surrounding the ballpark, which, in its own right, is expected to have the world's biggest video scoreboard and a view of the Las Vegas Strip. The ballpark, Bally's says, will be accessible via a VIP experience from a new on-site casino.
