Iran executes one of Israel's 'most important spies'

Iran has executed Bahman Choubi-asl, saying he was "one of the most important spies for Israel in Iran", news outlet Mizan reports.

Entangled in a decades-long shadow war with Israel, Iran has executed many individuals it accuses of having links with Israel's Mossad intelligence service and facilitating its operations in the Islamic Republic.

Iran accused Choobi-asl of meeting with officials from the Israeli spy agency Mossad.

Mizan said Choobi-asl worked on "sensitive telecommunications projects" and reported about the "paths of importing electronic devices."
