The NRL is on red-alert after American singer Teddy Swims, who is due to play at the grand final on Sunday, cancelled shows scheduled in Hawaii at the weekend.
The Grammy award-winning superstar walked off stage in the middle of a performance last Friday, later announcing that he was battling sickness.
“Honolulu, I’m so sorry to let you know that both tonight’s show (Saturday, September 27) and tomorrow’s (Sunday, September 28) rescheduled performance will not be taking place,” he wrote to his eight million Instagram followers.
“My doctor has not cleared me to sing, and I need a little time to recover before I can give you the show you deserve.
