The New York Jets have struggled to find a reliable quarterback since the days of Joe Namath. In 2021, the team believed Zach Wilson could be the answer.

With the second overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Jets selected Wilson out of BYU and handed him the keys to the franchise. But Wilson never reached his potential in New York, starting three seasons and posting a 13-21 record.

In the 2024 offseason, the Jets officially ended the Wilson era, trading him to the Denver Broncos . After a season in Denver, he signed with the Miami Dolphins .
