A frustrated Joe Rodon was left questioning his own decision making after Bournemouth’s stoppage-time equaliser on Saturday denied Leeds United their third win of the season.

The defender had sparked the initial turnaround with his header from a corner - his maiden Premier League goal - drawing the score back to 1-1 eight minutes before-half time. Leeds led for 39 minutes after Sean Longstaff completed the comeback after the break but Eli Kroupi’s late leveller broke hearts at the death.

Rodon put in a customary sturdy display yet was left pondering how he and his teammates could have prevented the last-gasp equaliser, both from a personal and collective point of view. “As an individual and defender, I look at myself first,” he told reporters afterwards.
