Josh Staley has known Collin Murray-Boyles forever: coaching the Raptors rookie as a high schooler in South Carolina, coaching his older brother before that. He has deep and binding ties with the family.

So when he talks about Murray-Boyles, he talks as an expert. And talks glowingly.

“When he was young, man, I knew he had the ability to be special because he never was trying to fit in with the crowd … he always had the mental capacity that separates you from just regular people,” Staley said of the power forward about to make his NBA training camp debut this week.
