After the passage of an amendment to a pre-Prohibition alcoholic beverage control law in New York, three Middletown restaurants on North Street may soon have the ability to serve liquor.
Under a business-specific exemption, New York State Senator James Skoufis, of the 42nd district, and New York State Assemblymember Paula Elaine Kay, of the 100th district, sponsored three bills to allow the restaurants to sell liquor on the premises.
