DOVER — A new 10,075-square-foot childcare facility that could serve more than 100 children is proposed at 914 Central Ave. , with the plan to demolish and replace a former restaurant building.

The applicant is InSite Development Services LLC, with an Illinois address, according to plans filed with the city. Called a "childcare development center," it would build a one-and-a-half-story building with a brick exterior. This would replace the vacant building that formerly housed East Ocean Chinese Restaurant and Bar. The proposal calls for a playground area to the rear of the site on the 1.28-acre parcel, and parking in front.
